HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK?
All our phlebotomy training classes are comprehensive and emphasizes a “hands-on” method. Each student will draw blood at least once in every class. These draws will be supervised by the instructor and performed on other class members. Our instructors will guide you as you learn a variety of phlebotomy techniques.
The course includes 7-weeks of lecture, discussion, and skill labs. Each student must successfully pass the coursework portion of the class with a final grade of “C” or better and satisfy all financial obligations to OPTC to graduate. Those who successfully complete the 7 weeks class portion of the program and satisfy all financial obligations with OPTC will receive a certificate of completion. Individuals will then be qualified to work as an entry-level phlebotomist in a health care setting.
HOW LONG IS THE PHLEBOTOMY PROGRAM?
The course includes 7-weeks of lecture, discussion, and practical instruction in the lab.
WHEN AND WHERE ARE CLASSES HELD?
Classes are scheduled every 7-weeks for two days a week. We meet at Best Western Plus Franciscan Square Inn and Suites, 200 Franciscan Square, Steubenville, OH 43952 in the meeting room.
HOW MUCH IS THE SCHOOL TUITION?
Phlebotomy program tuition fee is $1,000 plus a $50 registration fee. This fee covers instructional tuition, e-book and laboratory fee. You do not need to pay for the entire class tuition and fees upfront. The $50 registration fee reserves your seat in class. The registration fee is NOT deducted from the $1,000 tuition cost. This fee is refundable up to 5-days after enrolling into classes or the first day of classes (which ever comes first). The remaining $1,000 can be paid on a 7-weeks payment plan. If you are paying in full on the 1st day of classes, you do NOT need to pick a payment plan option. The final payment is due on the last day of class. No checks will be accepted on the last day of class. You can choose one of the four plans to pay for your enrollment in the Phlebotomy Program. Failure to satisfy all financial obligations with OPTC will result in withholding your certificate. You can set up a payment plan the first day of class. To view payment plan options click here. Our affordable tuition and flexible payment plan allows students to graduate debt-free with a phlebotomy certificate!
